Biography

Aamer Bhutta is a research associate working with Professor Nemy Banthia. He obtained his Master of Engineering and PhD from Nihon University, Tokyo. He has years of experience working in the Japanese construction industry and academia. He was an Associate Professor in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for five years teaching civil engineering materials and supervising undergraduate and graduate students. He has contributed as an invited consultant by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) for developing countries to assist in education / research / consultancy projects. He is a member of SEIRA (Sustainable Infrastructure Research) group. He has been working on the behavior and performance of geopolymer composites (low-carbon materials) produced with a variety of waste materials reinforced with different macro- and micro- fibers. His main responsibility is taking care of Journal of Cement and Concrete Composites, on behalf of Editor Prof. Nemy Banthia. He has participated in numerous international conferences and has more than 50 publications in international journals.
