Civil Engineering Undergraduate Students Orientation Day – Sept 6, 2011

On Tuesday, September 6, 2011, the Department of Civil Engineering would like to welcome all its new and returning undergraduate student to start off the 2011 winter semester.

To help acquaint all 2nd year and transfer students with our department, we will be hosting an ORIENTATION MEETING on:

Tuesday, September 6, 2011
11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Hugh Dempster Pavillion, Room 310 (DMP 310)
6245 Agronomy Road

All 2nd year and transfer students MUST attend this meeting, which will be followed by short tours of the Civil Engineering offices and laboratories.

Following the orientation meeting, students from the Civil Engineering Club will be hosting a luncheon and to help you through the many activities on your first day of classes.  The luncheon will be held on Engineering Road (near the far end towards the EUS Cheeze).

For all returning 3rd and 4th year students, the following information sessions are available for your interest:

1:30 – 2:30pm – Grad School and NSERC PGS/CGS information Session at CHBE 101

2:30 – 3:00pm – Grad School Q & A located at the CHBE Atrium

2:30 – 3:30 – Undergrad Research Opportunities and NSERC USRA information at CHBE 102

** Please note that all Undergraduate classes (with the exception of classes that start at or after 5:00 pm and meet only once per week) are replaced with day-long orientation programming coordinated by faculties, student organizations, and student service units from across campus on September 6th.
