Play House: The Architecture of Daniel Evan White

This retrospective exhibition on the work of the Vancouver architect Daniel Evan White at the Museum of Vancouver, is curated by UBC Faculty members Greg Johnson (SALA/Civil Engineering) and Martin Lewis (SALA), in collaboration with Viviane Gosselin, Curator of Contemporary Issues, at the MOV. The exhibition will run for six months beginning October 16, 2013.

Daniel Evan White (1933-2012) graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Architecture in 1962. Over his more than four decade career, he created a legacy of architecturally significant single- and multi-family dwellings in the Lower Mainland that, to this day, remain relatively unknown, even within the local architectural community. This retrospective attempts to remedy this situation, presenting a large selection of his projects to the general public for the first time.
