Dr. Bernard Laval’s International CONCUR team have finally landed in Kilpisjärvi Northern Finland to study the transition from ice cover to summer in a high latitude lake (70ºN). The team is hard at work in the field taking measurements of the temperature, conductivity, pressure, pH, turbidity, redox, PAR and current from the surface of the water to the bottom of the lake (essentially everything you could want to know about what is happening vertically in water column). To follow their activities, check out their “blog”
