Postdoctoral Fellow

Building Science & Technology, Project & Construction Management

Biography

Dr. Jianing Luo is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Civil Engineering in the Faculty of Applied Science, meanwhile an Assistant Professor and Postgraduate Supervisor in the School of Architecture at Nanjing Tech University (NJTU) in China. Dr. Luo obtained his Ph.D. in Architecture from Southeast University (SEU) in China (2018). During his Ph.D. study, he was a joint Ph.D. (visiting) candidate in the School of Architecture and Built Environment (Construction Management) at the University of Newcastle in Australia (2015-2017). He received his MS from SEU (2012) and his BS from NJTU (2010). Dr. Luo has an inter-disciplinary research background and practical experiences in Architecture and Construction Management. His research is devoted to improving the design and construction coordination based on design methodologies, digital methods and tools (BIM, VDC), off-site construction (OSC), lean construction (LC), integrated project delivery (IPD), etc. He is now a member of the BIM TOPiCS Lab led by Prof. Sheryl Staub-French.
