Overview

The M.Eng. in Civil Engineering is a dynamic, course-based graduate program designed for professionals seeking advanced technical knowledge beyond the undergraduate level. This 30-credit program includes a special topics seminar and can be completed in 12 to 20 months. With a diverse range of courses, UBC offers specialized training in key areas of civil engineering. M.Eng. Program Details

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

In order to graduate from the M.Eng. program students must successfully complete a minimum of 30 credits of coursework to finish the program. The credits are subject to the requirements listed below, as well as the requirements for each specialization.

  • At least 24 credits of 500-level courses, of which 12 credits must be CIVL 500 level
  • A maximum of 6 credits taken at the 300-/400-level
  • A maximum of 6 credits of CIVL 598 and a maximum of 6 credits of CIVL 592
  • All students must complete CIVL 597 Graduate Seminar
