Professor Don Mavinic’s 2016 Engineers Canada Gold Medal Award was highlighted by Jonathan Wilkinson, Member of Parliament for North Vancouver, in the House of Commons last week. Professor Mavinic has been selected for the award due to his exceptional achievements in the Canadian engineering community; work-related achievements, service to the profession, and service to the community are all taken into account.
