The Department of Civil Engineering was pleased to welcome Education Minister Peter Fassbender to the Earthquake Engineering Research Facility on Friday. During his visit, the Minister got an up-close look at the research behind the Earthquake Early Warning System, which is currently being rolled out in schools across BC, and other related projects. Highlights of the day included a tour of the Facility and demonstrations of the Linear Shake Table (LST) and the Multiple Axis Shake Table (MAST).
