On February 27th, six graduate students competed in this year’s Civil heat of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition. Staff, faculty and students made up the audience of nearly 50, and enjoyed a sushi lunch while they took in these engaging and informative three minute presentations that summarized the students’ research projects for a non-specialist audience. Andrew Hamilton, Kelly Graves, and Syed Zaki Abdullah will go on to compete in the 3MT APSC heat on March 5th. Congratulations to all who participated!

Those who are successful in the APSC round may move on to the UBC Semi-Final event on March 11th, and the UBC Final Event on March 13th.
